Lamar D. Branson, 91, of Goshen passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family on his 91st birthday.

He was born September 12, 1933 in Goshen to Otis and Ada (Wareham) Branson.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Wilma (Secrest) Branson; four children, Mark (Ann) Branson, Troy (Elaine) Branson, Lisa Yoder and Linda Swihart; seven grandchildren, Nathan (Ashley) Swihart, Aimee Swihart, Megan Fedler, Foster Branson, Carter Branson, Renee Branson and Nolan Yoder; and his “dog son” Tucker.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Wade K. Branson, and four siblings.

A U.S. Army veteran, Lamar worked as a field representative for County Line Cheese, as well as being an entrepreneur. He enjoyed playing golf, card games with his family as well as playing the guitar.

Visitation will be Monday, September 16, 2024 from 9 to 10 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Pastor Nate Walter, Goshen Christian Church will officiate.

Burial will follow with military honors at West Goshen Cemetery.
