Kristofer Lee Kurtz

Kristofer L. Kurtz, 39, of Goshen, died Sunday, October 23, 2011 at IU Hospital, Indianapolis where he had been since October 15. He had been seriously ill since September. He was born June 17, 1972, to David B. and Betty J. (Phillips) Kurtz. They survive along with two sisters, Kimberly (Tony) Davison of Fishers, and Kelley M. Kurtz of Waldron; and a niece, Cecilia Davison. A 1990 graduate of Goshen High School, Kris attended Vincennes University where he was a member of Sigma Pi Fraternity. He was well known as an avid skate boarder and snow boarder. He was an accomplished guitarist and a talented artist, working in sketch, watercolor and block printing mediums. He enjoyed supporting Chicago sports teams, the Bears, Cubs and Blackhawks. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2011, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 7:00 p.m., memorial service will be held. Pastor Larry Hicks, Plymouth United Church of Christ will officiate. Memorials may be given to IOPO Foundation Inc. or Donate Life America.
