Kris L Sorg

Kris L. Sorg, 73, of Elkhart, passed away on January 25, 2026, at Elkhart Meadows.

He was born on June 15, 1952. He was the son of Jim Fry and Ruth I. (Lumm) Fry. Kris later married Nancy Sorg, who preceded him in death in 2017.

Kris is survived by his children, Eric (Nickie) Sorg of Goshen and Laura Sorg of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy; his parents; his brother, Kirk and sister-in-law, Becky; and his sister, Joan Burns.

Kris worked in construction as an office manager for many years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Goshen, a graduate of Goshen High School, and a proud graduate of Ball State University. He will be remembered for his steady work ethic, quiet strength, and dedication to his family.

Services will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be directed to Cancer Resources for Elkhart County. Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
