Khampha Phothirath

Khampha Phothirath, 77, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Elkhart died Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Majestic Care-West Allen.

He was born March 2, 1946 in Songkon, Savannakhet, Laos.

He is survived by three children, Latdavanh "Linda" (Brian Young) Phothirath of South Bend, Sriphachanh "Jenny" (Bounyasit Vongsa) Phothirath of Elkhart and Rattana "David" Khamphoumy of Elkhart; and five grandchildren, Emily, Andrew and Xzavien Phothirath, and Donovan and Shaiyenne Phommaha.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Vanmany Phothirath in Laos.

Khampha worked at GS Plastic in Elkhart. He enjoyed tinkering with projects and was known as a mechanic in his younger years. He also enjoyed spending time in nature, fishing and gardening.

A Buddhist service will be conducted Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, beginning at 1 p.m.
