Keith L. Vincent passed away at age 80 in Goshen, Indiana on Sunday, the 11th of December, 2022, surrounded by loving family. He was born in Middlebury to Ora H. and Grace L. (Esch) Vincent, the 8th of their eight children.
An open house celebration of life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, the 7th of January, 2023, at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, 64901 CR 11 Goshen, IN 46526.
Keith made a career in the financial services industry, notably with Mutual Security Life, American United Life, and Massachusetts Mutual. He served as a General Agent at each company, guiding agencies in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Safety Harbor, Florida. Along the way Keith gave himself to Christian education. He was instrumental in organizing the former Fort Wayne Christian School (Fort Wayne, IN) and was Director of Development at Northwest Community Church and Christian School in Glendale, Arizona. Keith also served as Vice President for Development at Fort Wayne Bible College (later acquired by Taylor University).
Married for sixty years, Keith was father of three, grandfather to six, and great-grandfather to four. He was clear about his love for God, his wife, his family, and his clients, in that order of priority. His enjoyment of finding and singing the bass line of gospel music, as well as cheering for his Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was widely known. He was a present and reliable foundation for his family, who will always feel the chasm of his loss.
Keith is survived by his cherished wife, Charlene (Shaum) Vincent; his son Mark (Patricia) Vincent and grandchildren Zachary Vincent and Autumn (Alex) Heling; his son Eric (Daphne) Vincent and grandchildren Elyse Vincent and Emily (Cristian) Moga; his daughter Regina Vincent Mujica (Randy Books - fiancé) and grandchildren Israel and Joseph Mujica. Great-grandchildren Brynn, Simone, and Kallum Vincent and Ronan Moga are sure to hear many stories of their great-grandpa and his love. Keith is missed by his surviving siblings, Lenora Coyle, Carol (William) Johnson, and Wayne (Miriam) Vincent.
The family intends to provide a space for rest within the Yellow Creek Mennonite Church cemetery for all who come to pay respects to their loved ones. Donations and memorial gifts can be made to Heartland Hospice in Mishawaka, or Trilogy Health Services (Waterford Crossing) in Goshen. The family is grateful to these caregiving communities for their provision during his long journey home.
Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
