Keith O. Troup, 82, of Goshen, died Sunday afternoon, June 5, 2011, at IU Health Goshen Hospital. He had been in failing health. He was born May 23, 1929 in Nappanee to the late Alton and Dessie (Klingaman) Troup. He married Donna M. Rhoades on February 1, 1953 at Morris Chapel Methodist Church, Pierceton. She died October 8, 2009. He then married LaWanda (Carpenter) Lung Troup on December 26, 2010. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Coni McCloughen of Elkhart, and Angela (Michael) Taylor of Goshen; two sons, Ronald Troup of Goshen, and Randy Troup of Syracuse; a step-daughter, Stacy Lung of Lakeland, Florida; a step-son, Scott (Molly) Lung of Goshen; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson; two brothers, Dean (Ida) Troup and Evar (Mary Ellen) Troup, both of Milford; and a sister, Shelly Troup of Long Beach, California. He was preceded in deathby a grandson, Rob McCloughen on July 12, 2005, and a brother, Ervin Troup. A 1947 graduate of Milford High School, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1948-52 on the U.S.S. Hollister in the Pacific Ocean near Korea and China. He was a longtime faithful member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Goshen, and volunteered with the Lifeline Program at Goshen General Hospital. He was a strong supporter of the Goshen High School football and basketball programs. He worked at NIBCO for 25 years as a supervisor of productions and retired from Universal Co-op. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. A 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2011 funeral service will be conducted at St. Mark's United Methodist Church. Pastor Dick Rinearson will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen, with full military honors conducted by Goshen Veterans Organizations. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church or to the American Heart Association.
