Keith Elwyn Mast. 72, of Corvallis, Oregon, and formerly of Goshen, died at his home on Tuesday, June 26, 2007, after fighting cancer since 2002. He was born in Goshen on May 2, 1935, to Gerald E. and Bernice (Kauffman) Mast. He married Rhonda Holderman on August 18, 1963, in Goshen. She survives. A lifelong Goshen resident until 2005, Mr. Mast worked at Goshen General Hospital as an x-ray technician, and at NIPSCO for 18 years and then 14 years for the Elkhart County Highway Department as an engineer retiring in 2003. A 1953 graduate of Goshen High School, he attended Goshen College and Indiana University. He was a member of Goshen City Church of the Brethren where he sang in the choir. He was also a long time member of the Goshen Noon Kiwanis Club where he served as Chairman of the 4-H Fair Parade for 27 years and served as parade marshall in 2006. He also served as a 4-H board member for 27 years. He had been attending the First United Methodist Church of Corvallis. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Corvallis, Oregon. A memorial service will also be held in Goshen on Saturday, September 15, 2007, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Yvonne Riege of Goshen City Church of the Brethren will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
