Kathy Lynn Coffman, 70, of Goshen, passed away on March 31, 2026 at home surrounded by family. She was a woman whose creativity, warmth, and deep devotion to her family shaped a life filled with beauty, joy, and connection.
Kathy was born on September 17, 1955 in Goshen, IN to Richard and Kenlyn (Woodie) Sorg. She married her high school sweetheart, Ken Coffman, and for over 52 years they shared an unwavering, unconditional love that was the heart of their family. She was a 1973 graduate of Goshen High School where she was part of the swim team.
Kathy is survived by her husband Ken, son Dustin, cherished granddaughters, Anna and Lillian, and sisters Tammy (Craig) Lambright, Susan Warstler, and Kathy Holderbaum. She is also survived by Laura (Patrick) Linn, who held a daughter-like place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Craig, and daughter-in-law Leslie (Rhodes).
Kathy found immense joy in cheering on her sons, especially at baseball games, where she was their most loyal supporter. Some of her most cherished traditions were the annual holiday-season trips to Chicago with her sisters and granddaughters - days filled with laughter, shopping, and memories that will be treasured forever.
Kathy embraced the simple pleasures that made life rich: summer drives with the top down, evenings spent listening to live music, and quiet moments curled up with a good book and her beloved Golden Retrievers. She loved gathering with lifelong friends for card games and spending time by the pool.
Her family will remember her for her kindness, her creativity, her loyalty, and the joy she brought into every room. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she created, the love she gave, and the countless lives she touched.
A celebration of life will be held later this year, with details to be shared with family and friends.
