Kathy S. Bowers

Kathy Bowers, age 67, of Sturgis, Michigan, passed away at 1:25 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Bronson Methodist Hospital.

She was born on September 21, 1958, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Albert Hershberger and Vivian I. (Hamilton) Browning. Kathy spent her life as a dedicated homemaker who took great pride in being a budget shopper, but above all else, she loved her grandchildren dearly.

She is survived by her children, Ricky Bowers of Sturgis, Michigan, Chad (Frances) Bowers of Elkhart, Indiana, Mandi Ostrom of Alliance, Ohio. She also leaves behind three beloved grandchildren, Owen, Mason and Avalyn.

Kathy is also survived by her siblings: Terry Hershberger, David (Betty) Hershberger, Scott Hershberger, Bradley Hershberger, Kelly (William) Madison, and April (Douglas) Penn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Sharon K. Dinkel and Nancy LeCount.

According to her wishes, cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory.

Arrangements are being handled by Yoder-Culp Funeral Home in Goshen, Indiana.
