Kathryn M. Couch

Kathryn M. Couch, 81, of Goshen died Wednesday, September 11, 2024 under hospice care at Greencroft Healthcare after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born October 14, 1942 in Washington, Iowa to Vernon and Mary (Wenger) Wyse.

She is survived by a daughter, Heather Couch of Indianapolis; a son, Matthew Couch of Elkhart; two grandchildren, Meaghan (John) Chien and Sarah Lambright; and three siblings, Elmer (Deloris) Wyse of Goshen, Shirley (Larry) Oswald of Spencer, Iowa and Linda (Tom) Stump of Goshen.

A member of Waterford Mennonite Church, Kathryn served the Goshen community for 35 years as a librarian at the Goshen Public Library. She liked to read, do crossword puzzles, and enjoyed traveling to the Pacific Northwest. Kathryn was also known for her love of animals.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 5, beginning at 9 a.m. prior to the 11 a.m. memorial service at Waterford Mennonite Church. Pastor Deron Bergstresser will officiate. Scattering of her cremated remains will follow the service in the Memory Garden at the church.
