Katherine Ellen Weirich

Katherine Ellen Weirich, 85, of Goshen, died Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Goshen Hospital.

She was born January 9, 1934 in Topeka to William A. and Nora (Bontrager) Beechy.

Mrs. Weirich’s family includes her husband, Ora Weirich; children, Gloria (Marion) Miller and Kenneth (Miriam) Weirich, both of Goshen, Keith (Leslie) Weirich of Middlebury; Sharon (Earl) Plett of Landmark, Manitoba and Carol (James) Piekunka, of Goshen; 15 grandchildren, one deceased; 22 great-grandchildren, two deceased; and three siblings, Elva Beechy of Millersburg, Amanda Miller of Choutecah, Oklahoma and Alice Yoder of Shipshewana.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by six siblings, Ammon and Vernon Beechy, Mary Miller, Anna Miller and Raymond and William Jr. Beechy.

A homemaker, Mrs. Weirich was a member of River of Life Community Church.

Visitation will be Friday, February 15, 2019, 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  A 2 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019, memorial service will be conducted at River of Life Community Church, 2626 Prairie Street, Elkhart.

Private family graveside service will be held at Elkhart Prairie Cemetery, Goshen.

Memorials may be given to River of Life Community Church.
