Katherine "Katie" Miller

Katherine "Katie" Miller, 91, formerly of Goshen, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 at her daughter's home in Hume, Virginia. She was born February 23, 1923 in Wawaka to Harley T. and Mary Adeline (Eby) Inks. On December 24, 1941 she married Russell Lloyd Miller in Wawaka. He died January 24, 1970. She is survived by her daughter Gloria Bowman, Hume, Virginia, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and five sisters. Katie worked as an office manager at the Goshen Municipal Airport for many years. She had a love of flying which was fulfilled in her attaining both her pilot and helicopter licenses. She was Whirly-Girl #30 and a member of the International Women Helicopter Pilots. A memorial service will be held in May at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Burial has taken place at New Paris Cemetery.
