Karl R. Van Dorston                                                                                         Karl R. Van Dorston, 95, of Goshen, died early Sunday morning, February 24, 2008 at Goshen General Hospital. He was born in LaPorte, Indiana, on January 15, 1913, to Thomas J. and Edna B. (Van Ness) Van Dorston.  He married Lila B. Minnich on June 20, 1936 in Goshen.  She survives. Mr. Van Dorston owned and operated Karl’s Auto Service in Goshen for many years.  He was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Goshen. He is survived by his wife, Lila and a grandson, Derek Van Dorston of San Francisco, California. He was preceded in death by a son, Philip Van Dorston in 1998 and a grandson, Baron Lonn Van Dorston in 1976. There will be no visitation. A 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2008 funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Rev. Carl Adams of the First United Church of Christ, Goshen, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the Frist United Church of Christ or Goshen Historical Society.
