Karen Kay Gusler

Karen K. Gusler, 80, of Goshen, died unexpectedly at her home, Saturday, May 18, 2024.

She was born April 21, 1944 in Midland, Michigan to Kenneth C. and Esther K. (Lantz) Gusler.

She is survived by two brothers, Duane (Cheri) Gusler and Carl (Kay) Gusler, both of Goshen.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Swartzendruber.

Karen spent her work life helping others.  She retired from the Council of Aging in Wise County, Virginia, where she served as a counselor. She also worked providing care for mothers with newborn children and in a variety of federal programs, including coal mine hospitals in Virginia. She graduated from Midland High School in1962 and while living in Virginia she sang in the choir for the Gladeville Presbyterian Church in Wise and played piano for the First Presbyterian Church in Pound.

Private family services are being held.

Burial will follow at West Goshen Cemetery.
