Karen L. Fairfield

October 10, 1942 — February 9, 2019

Karen L. Fairfield, 76, of Goshen died Saturday, February 9, 2019 at home.

She was born October 10, 1942 in Elkhart to Merle and Mary (Field) Clouse.

On June 16, 1961, she married Ted Fairfield.

He survives along with four children, Lea Ann (Reinhard) Florin of Woodbury, Connecticut, Amy (Preston) Abbott-Voss of Pinellas Park, Florida, Richard (Michelle) Fairfield of Crete, Illinois and Karlie (Eric) Kilmer of Goshen; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two sisters, Becky (Chuck) Bushong of Elkhart and Susan (Dana) Brown of Columbus.

Karen was passionate about her family and her dogs.  She was an Advanced Master Gardener and Master Naturalist as well as an avid reader.  She volunteered through many different fronts, through her church and community.

She was an award winning photographer and enjoyed playing bridge.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 16, 2019 from noon until the 1 p.m. memorial service at First United Methodist Church, Goshen.  Pastors Ed and Brenda Fritz will officiate.

Memorials may be given to Riley Hospital for Children.

Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is assisting with cremation and arrangements.
