Karen D. Callihan

Karen D. Callihan, 55, of Goshen, died Monday, November 10, 2008 at Goshen General Hospital.  She had been ill for two years. She was born in Goshen on November 4, 1953 to LeRoy and Faye (Thompson) Troyer.    A lifelong resident of the area, Ms. Callihan worked for Veada Industries.  She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Women’s Auxiliary.   She is survived by her mother; two daughters, Stephanie (Daric) Gessinger and Kristina Callihan, both of Goshen; one son, Carson Callihan of Goshen; 7 grandchildren; and two sisters, Donna Troyer of Elkhart and Rita (Tom) Jordan of South Bend.   She was preceded in death by her father.   Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2008, at the funeral home.   An 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2008 funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Rev. John Drexler of First Brethren Church and Ms. Callihan’s uncle, Rev. Mel Shetler of Maple City Chapel, will officiate.   Memorial contributions may be made for funeral expenses or to the Center for Cancer Care, Goshen Health Systems.
