Karen J. Bontrager, 63, of Goshen died Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Goshen Hospital.
She was born October 16, 1957 in Lebanon, Indiana to Paul and Mabel (Allie) Denning, Sr.
On July 1, 1995 she married Dale Bontrager in Lebanon.
He survives along with two children, Corey Bontrager and Natalie Bontrager, both of Goshen; and three siblings, Charles (Judy) Denning of Royersford, Pennsylvania, Anna (Terry) Gray of Indianapolis and Paul (Diane) Denning, Jr. of Blaine, Minnesota.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara De La Zenda.
Mrs. Bontrager was a long-time educator and teacher, most recently working at Oxbow Elementary with hearing impaired students. She was also a member of Nappanee Missionary Church.
Visitation will be Friday, September 17, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service, Saturday, September 18, at Nappanee Missionary Church, Nappanee. Pastor Jason Rohde will officiate. To view the service online visit www.nmc.church/funeral .
