Jurgen L. Faldoe, 76, of Goshen, died Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Greencroft Healthcare after an extended illness.
He was born September 22, 1941 in Kelliher, Minnesota to Virgil L. and Magdalena (Suhr) Faldoe.
On March 4,1961 he married Shirley Hurlbert in Blackduck, Minnesota.
She survives along with three children, Denise (Mervin) Lambright of Goshen, Jurgen (Christy) Faldoe, Jr. of New Paris and Matthew (Kerri) Faldoe of Goshen; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a brother, John (Mary) Faldoe of Conroe, Texas.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Anna (Edward) and Magdalena (Raymond) Vyskocil and brothers, Clarence and Lawrence Martin.
Mr. Faldoe served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea from July 1961 to July 1963 as a dispatch operator. He worked at Goshen Rubber for 25 years, Lavern Auto Repair for seven years and retired from Supreme Corporation after six years.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. His hobbies included riding his Harley motorcycle, hunting and fishing.
Jurgen’s wishes were to be cremated.
A 2 p.m. memorial service with military honors will be conducted Saturday, July 28 , 2018, at Faith Lutheran Church, Greene Road. Pastor John Hickey will officiate
Burial will be at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorials may be given to Cancer Resources for Elkhart County.
