June Marie Landis, 84,of Goshen, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing.
She was born June 6, 1931 in Perkasie, Pennsylvania to William H. and Irene (Kulp) Moyer.
On May 2, 1953 she married Jacob C. Landis in Blooming Glen, Pennsylvania.
He survives along with two sons, Geoffrey W. (Elizabeth Gunden) Landis of Goshen and Douglas A. (Joy) Landis of Mason, Michigan; three grandchildren, Andrew Landis, Allison (Kevin) Revels and Jonathan Landis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Orville Moyer.
She attended Goshen College and worked as an assistant in an elementary school library for 14 years. Mrs. Landis moved to Goshen in 2003, coming from North Carolina. She and Jake enjoyed winters in Naples, Florida.
A lifelong talented singer, she was a soloist with church and community choirs. June cherished her family, planning and hosting many gatherings. An avid reader and athlete, she also enjoyed needlework and gardening.
Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory.
Friends may call Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. An 11 a.m. memorial service will be conducted, Friday, March 11, 2016 at College Mennonite Church.
