Jul C. Mall

Jul C. Mall, 93, of New Paris died Monday, Dec. 17, 2018 at Waterford Crossing Healthcare, Goshen.

She was born Jan. 24, 1925 in rural Longford, Kansas to John and Lillian (Carlson) Dulohery.

Survivors include two children, Durwin (Shirley) Mall of Clay Center, Kansas and Nola (Douglas) Pyle of New Paris; four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, Dustin Smith of Hays, Kansas, Jennifer (Smith) Budreau of McKinney, Texas, LaVerene (Pyle) Garner of Thomasville, North Carolina, Derrick Pyle of Seattle, Washington, Lauren (Mall) Weishaar of Kansas City, Kansas and Lance Mall of Cincinnati, Ohio; a great grandchild, Ellery Garner of Thomasville, North Carolina; and five step-great grandchildren whom reside in Kansas and Texas, Brandon, Kelsi, Sabryn, Pacey and Kingston.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick “Fritz” W. Mall.

Jul was a proud resident of Clay County, Kansas for most of her life.  In later years she moved to Goshen, Indiana.  Throughout her life, she enjoyed studying her family’s genealogy and being involved in her community. She was a long-time member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Goshen and St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Clay Center, Kansas, where her grandfather helped build the original church pews and altar.

She was a lifetime member of the VFW in support of her late husband who was a WWII veteran.  There was not a Bingo game she didn’t love or a missed hair appointment!

Her family will greatly miss her enthusiasm for a good game of cards, her stories of times long ago past, and her general zest for life.

A graveside service will be held in Clay Center, Kansas at a later date.
