Judith M Williams, 75, died December 9, 2018, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s.

She was born in Goshen on March 11, 1943 to Emile and Avis Tassin.  She graduated from Goshen High School in 1961 and from Goshen College in 1962 with a Secretarial Certificate.  In 1962 she married Dennis Wiese.  In 1979 she married Thomas Lyman Williams who died in 2002.

Surviving are her two daughters, Erin (Thomas) Wilson and Kelly (Patrick) Dillion; both of Goshen; four grandsons; four great grand-daughters; and a brother, Joel (Linda) Tassin of Chicago.  She is also survived by step-children, Carol Dagg, Patty Tysver, and Robert Williams.  Two of her step-children, Susie Williams and Tom Williams, preceded her in death.

Judith was employed as a secretary for most of her life.  She last worked for Hearing Diagnostics Center, Goshen and retired in 2003. A life-long member of First Presbyterian Church of Goshen, she served as a deacon, taught Sunday school and was a youth leader.  She was a member of the Indiana Historical Society, the Goshen Historical Society and Questers #315.  She was a 20+ year member of Maple Chapter Professional Secretaries International, serving as President in 1969 and 1979.  Judith was honored as a Kentucky Colonel in 1968.  She was also awarded the Historian of the Year award from the Goshen Historical Society in 2005.

Judith enjoyed crafts and rubber stamping, reading mysteries, photography, pets and writing.

There will be no service at this time.  A Celebration of Life service will be held in 2019.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Goshen Historical Society or an animal rescue organization of your choice.
