Juanita Harris

Juanita Harris, 86, of Shipshewana died Saturday, November 25, 2023 at her home on hospice.

She was born December 28, 1936 in Red Bay, Alabama to Nolan and Lura (Blanton) Bostick.

Survivors include her children, Larry (Barb) Williams of North Judson, Debra (Rick Wright) Miller of New Waterford, Ohio, and Melinda Williams of Shipshewana; son-in-law, Joe McChristian; six grandchildren, Jason (Shannon) Miller, Brent (Bre) Gardner, Brian Harris, Christina Hobgood, Amy Bankoski, and Michael Murray; nine great-grandchildren, Beckett, Brock, Blakely, Jace, Hailey, Harley, Zoe, Denver and Hyndrex; her long-time companion, Paul Borman; and best friends, Phyllis Romano and Dianne Orris.

Along with her parents, Nolan and Lura Bostick, Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Harris; daughter, Tina Hobgood; sister, Marrie Bostick; twin sister, Ineda Bostick; and step-mother, Elaine Bostick.

She was retired and enjoyed living the lake life and going to casinos. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Juanita and her beloved daughter Tina’s ashes will be interred in a private ceremony at a future date in the family plot at Calvary Cemetery, Portage.
