Joyce A. Weaver

Joyce A. Weaver, 73, of Goshen passed away into the arms of Jesus, Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Esther’s House, Center for Hospice, Elkhart.

She was born July 21, 1951 in Lebanon, Indiana.

She is survived by husband, Stan Weaver; daughter, Stephenie (William Pritt) Chrispyn of Middlebury; son, Nicholas (Carrie Zulawski) Chrispyn of Elkhart; five grandchildren, Darren Jackson, Jacob (Hanna Lowe) Carper, William Pritt, Madalynn Chrispyn and Kabrina Pritt; great-grandchilden, Lilyana Stabnik and Finnick Carper, on the way soon; and several nieces and nephews.

Other survivors include three sisters, Deanna (Ed) Fortier, Karen Hinton and Debra O’Brian; and a brother, Steve Bates.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Lee Helton; mother, Lois M. (Disney) Bates; son, Craig Chrispyn; two brothers, Gary Bates and Donel Helton; and two sisters, Donna Olsten and Pamela Bates.

Joyce was a constant caregiver, working specifically with ADEC clients. A past member of EPIC Church, Mishawaka, Joyce enjoyed crocheting, reading and listening to the music of the late 1960’s and 70’s. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Pastor Karleen Hallock will officiate.

Burial will follow at Baintertown Cemetery, New Paris.
