Joyce I. Hunley, 84, of Goshen, died Monday evening, March 31, 2014, at Courtyard Healthcare. She was born May 7, 1929 in Monticello, Kentucky, to Otha and Myrtle (Crabtree) Davidson. On March 30, 1946 she married Willie J. Hunley in Monticello, Kentucky. He died Dec. 3, 1996 in South Bend, Indiana. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn (Michael) Bickel, of Warsaw; two sons, Billy Hunley, of Syracuse, and Jim Hunley, of Elkhart; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bobby Davidson, of Middlebury. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Tim Bickel; two brothers, Otha Jr. and Paul Davidson; and a sister, Dorothy I. Roberts. Mrs. Hunley was a homemaker and spent time working at Kercher's Sunrise Orchard, Proof Co., and Goshen Cushion. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held Friday, April 4, 2014, at 11 a.m. Rev. Kirk Barger of Calvary Baptist Church, Oswego, will officiate. Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery.
