Jose Guadalupe Ruiz Carreto

José Guadalupe Ruiz Carreto, de 77 años, de Goshen, Indiana, falleció el martes 30 de junio de 2026 en el Hospital de Goshen.

José nació el 16 de julio de 1948 en Apan, Hidalgo, México, hijo de Manuel Ruiz Torrejón y Benita Carreto Viveros. Fue allí en Apan, Hidalgo, donde se casó con Martha Álvarez Hernández el 21 de octubre de 1967. Juntos compartieron una vida de devoción y familia. Más tarde, José se mudó al área de Goshen, donde residió durante más de 30 años.

Un hombre trabajador durante toda su vida, José trabajó en producción como soldador, y anteriormente trabajó en un taller de carrocería y pintura mientras vivía en México.

Entre los sobrevivientes se encuentran su esposa, Martha Álvarez Hernández; sus hijos, María Del Carmen Ruiz Álvarez, María Antonia Ruiz Álvarez, Miguel Antonio Ruiz Álvarez, Leidy Laura Ruiz Álvarez y Didier Octavio Ruiz Álvarez; sus nietos y bisnietos; y sus hermanos, Alejandro Ruiz Carreto y Demetrio Garcia Carreto.

Además de sus padres, le precedieron en la muerte tres hermanos: Petra González Carreto, Antonio Ruiz Carreto y Crispín Ruiz Carreto.

El velatorio se llevará a cabo el martes 7 de julio de 2026, desde las 10:00 a.m. hasta la misa fúnebre de las 11:00 a.m. en la iglesia St. John.

Jose Guadalupe Ruiz Carreto, 77, of Goshen, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Goshen Hospital.

Jose was born on July 16, 1948, in Apan, Hidalgo, Mexico to Manuel Ruiz Torrejon and Benita Carreto Viveros. It was there in Apan, Hidalgo, that he married Martha Alvarez Hernandez on October 21, 1967. Together, they shared a life of devotion and family. Jose later moved to the Goshen area, where he resided for over 30 years.

A hard worker throughout his life, Jose worked in production as a welder, and previously spent time working in a body shop while living in Mexico.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Alvarez Hernandez; his children, Maria Del Carmen Ruiz Alvarez, Maria Antonia Ruiz Alvarez, Miguel Antonio Ruiz Alvarez, Leidy Laura Ruiz Alvarez and Didier Octavio Ruiz Alvarez; grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; and two brothers, Alejandro Ruiz Carreto and Demetrio Garcia Carreto.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Petra Gonzalez Carreto, Antonio Ruiz Carreto and Crispin Ruiz Carreto

A visitation will take place Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 10 a.m. until the 11:00 funeral mass at St. John.
