Jolene Hagerman Evans

Jolene Hagerman Evans, 53, of Shipshewana, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Parkview LaGrange Hospital. She was born July 12, 1957, in Welch, West Virginia, to the late Grevil Hagerman, Sr. and Lurene (Kennedy) Mullins of Shipshewana. A longtime area resident, Ms. Evans had worked at Viking Industries and Steury Boats. Surviving, along with her mother, are a daughter, Joy (Pedro) Fraire of Goshen; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mary (Chris) Tubbs of Sebring, Florida and Ariel Nicole Mullins of Shipshewana; two brothers, Grevil "Gene" Hagerman, Jr. of Hillsville, Virginia and Dakota Scott Mullins of Shipshewana; and her fiancé, Ted Buzzard of Shipshewana. She was preceded in death by her father Grevil Hagerman, Sr.; her step-father, Preston Mullins; and two sisters, Ruby Louise Rose and Kathy Lynn Hern. Friends may call 11:30 am until the 1:30 pm funeral Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev James Witten of Shorts Creek Church of God, Austinville, Virginia will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
