John E. Weber, 93, of Elkhart, died Sunday noon, February 21, 2010, at his home. He had been ill for two weeks following a heart attack. He was born in Ligonier, on June 9, 1916 to the late Ralph C. and Ruth (Emmert) Weber. He married Edna A. Bower on December 10, 1944, in LaGrange. She died December 25, 2003. Mr. Weber served with the US Army Medical Corp during World War II. He worked as a mechanic and welder in the semi-trailer and automotive industry. He is survived by two sons, John R. Weber and Leonard L. Weber, both of Elkhart; a granddaughter, Nikall (Nate) Miller and a sister, Emma Ruth (Sherman) Sear. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Neil Weber and a brother, Lowell Weber. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 26, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m., Saturday funeral service will be conducted. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Council, Elkhart.
