John W. Goppert, 61, of Goshen, died early Monday afternoon, June 18, 2007, at his home.   He was born in Goshen on July 17, 1945, to the late Francis Dale and Mary Ann (Yoder) Goppert.  He married Pamela D. Roose on August 10, 1969, at the New Paris Church of the Brethren.  She survives.   A 1963 graduate of New Paris High School, Mr. Goppert served in the Army in Germany from March of 1964 to March 1967.  He received the Good Conduct and National Service Medal.  He worked for Kropf Industries for 15 years before retiring in 1994.   He was a member of the New Paris Church of the Brethren, the DAV, the American Legion and the Goshen Moose Lodge.  He served as assistant club manager of the DAV.  He enjoyed fishing.   He is survived by his wife, Pamela; two daughters, Angela (A.J) Rosenbrock of New Paris and Crystal (Bill “Chris") Hollowell of Goshen; four grandsons and a step-granddaughter.  Also surviving are three sisters, Marvene (Lamar) Pippenger and Kay (Richard) Method, both of Nappanee, and Marilyn (Steve) Batchellor of Lutz, Florida; and a brother, Orus (Janet) Goppert of New Paris.   Friends will be received 2 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 21, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.   A 9:00 a.m., Friday, June 22, 2007, funeral service will be conducted at the New Paris Church of the Brethren.  Pastor Stan Godfrey and Joe Correll, Licensed Minister, both of the church, will officiate.   Burial will be in New Paris Cemetery, New Paris.   Memorials may be given to the family to help with expenses.
