John K. Cook

John K. Cook, 74, of Goshen, died Tuesday evening, September 21, 2010, at Goshen General Hospital.  He had been ill for years. He was born June 17, 1936 in Danvers, Illinois, to the late Glenn and Zena (Jordan) Cook.  He married Peggy Miller on August 19, 1955 in Roseland, Indiana.  She died January 13, 2002. A lifetime area resident he worked for Selmer Band Instrument for 31 years and Goshen Rubber for ten years. He is survived by a daughter, Lori A. (Jerry) Coulson of Goshen; a son, Scot A (Gloria) Cook of Houston, Texas; and three grandchildren, John B. Baker, Brian C. Baker and Katlyn R. Cook. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 24, at the funeral home. A 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010, funeral service will be at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Terry Tyler of Grace Point Presbyterian Church, Nappanee, will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Lung Association.
