John Jacob Borkholder, 44, of Goshen, died Tuesday afternoon, April 17, 2007, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. He was born in Cuyahoga, Ohio, on December 30, 1962, to the late Jake Borkholder and Catherine (Byler) Borkholder, of Goshen. A longtime member of the community, Mr. Borkholder worked as a line foreman at Supreme Corporation in Goshen. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. He was a Nascar fan and enjoyed playing softball with his children. He is survived by his mother, Catherine Borkholder of Goshen; two daughters, Vanessa Borkholder and Casey Frye, both of Goshen; two sons, Rick (Naldia) Frye and Jeremy Frye, both of New Paris; and two grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Randy (Donna) Borkholder of Goshen; and three sisters, Mary (Joe) Jones of Elkhart, Elnora (Gary) Kater of Goshen, and Rose Norberg of Buford, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Jake Borkholder and a brother, Eli Borkholder in 2004. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 19, at the funeral home. A 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 20, 2007, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Overpeck of the Community Church of Waterford will officiate.
