Joanna M. Lay

Joanna M. Lay, 56, passed away 9:33 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Goshen Hospital.

She was born October 19, 1964 in Elkhart.

Joanna is survived by two sons, Michael Helmuth and Dudley Lay, Jr.; two grandsons, Boden Lay and Sean Helmuth; former husband, Dudley Lay; and two siblings, Devon (Deborah) Helmuth of Goshen and Cynthia Carrick of Elkhart.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine Helmuth and a daughter, Elizabeth Lay.

She was a seamstress at ObeCo, Elkhart.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 12, 2021, from 3 p.m. until the 5 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

Cremation will follow the service.

Memorials may be given to the family to help with medical expenses.
