Joann A. Huber, 89, of Milford and formerly of Goshen, passed away Monday evening, July 29, 2013, at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare, where she had been since January 2010. She was born in Goshen March 24, 1924 to Ellis and Joella (Mishler) Detwiler. She married Melvin G. Huber November 21, 1942 at the First Brethren Church parsonage. He died September 7, 2010. Survivors include four children, Eric "Rick" (Jan) Huber and Steve (Sandy) Huber, both of Goshen; Sandy (Michael) Vance of New Paris and Barb (Bob) Hoke of Columbia City; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mabel Wortinger and a sister-in-law, Delores Detwiler, both of Goshen. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Ellis M. Detwiler. A lifetime Goshen resident and a 1942 graduate of Goshen High School, Mrs. Huber was a member of Jefferson Community Church. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 1, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service on Friday, August 2, 2013, at Jefferson Community Church. Pastor Ron Spyker will officiate. Cremation at Yoder-Culp Crematory will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jefferson Community Church Helping Hands Ministry.
