Joan Zook

Joan Zook, 80, of Goshen, passed away early Sunday morning, Oct. 12, 2014, at her home. She was born May 8, 1934 in West Liberty, Ohio to Paul P. and Mabel L. (King) King. On May 30, 1958 she married Mervin D. Zook in West Liberty. He survives along with three daughters, Cynthia J. Zook of Mishawaka, Susan D. (Kevin Gross) Zook of Goshen and Wendy A. Zook of Elkhart; and a sister, Helen (Richard) Hostetlerf of Goshen. She was preceded in death by her parents. A 1952 graduate of West Liberty High School, Mrs. Zook went on to study at Goshen College, graduating in 1957. A devoted wife and mother, she had a great love of nature, especially gardening, wildflowers and birds. In keeping with Joan's wishes, cremation will take place and private family services will be held. Rev. Sandie Vanik, Unity Church of Peace, South Bend, will officiate.
