Joan M. Miller

Joan M. Miller, 93, of Leesburg, Florida, died Monday, July 11, 2011, in Leesburg. She was born in Sidney, Ohio on July 3, 1918, to the late, Henry L. and Henrietta (Schemmel) Weiskittel. She married Harold Eugene Miller in Goshen on September 10, 1960. He died December 28, 1992. She is survived by a step-son, Michael L. Miller of Las Vegas, Nevada; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a step-son, David Miller; and siblings, Walter, Adolph, Louis, Charles, Roy, Don, Hugh, Edward, Ethel Bush, Margaret Goffena, Hazel Evans and Mary Jane Hall. A member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Sebring, Florida, Mrs. Miller was active in the family business, Miller's Battery Sales, Inc. until her retirement. She served in the Women's Army Corp. during World War II. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
