Joan W. Hunsberger

Joan W. Hunsberger, 89, of Goshen died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018 at Goshen Hospital after a sudden illness.

She was born in Goshen on Jan. 24, 1929 to Peter and Ina (Hoover) Strycker.

Survivors include three daughters, Judy (Jerry) Emily, Elkhart, Janet Ashby, Ligonier and Sandra (Martin) Scholl, Goshen; two sons, Jack (Mary Ann) Hunsberger and William (Pam) Hunsberger, both of Goshen; 12 grandchildren; 24, great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, G. Brad (Jo) Strycker and Max (Julie) Strycker, both of Goshen.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Audrey Stutsman and Bonnie Hoskins and two brothers, Marion and Robert Strycker.

A lifetime Goshen resident, Mrs. Hunsberger retired from Johnson Controls.  She was a member of Goshen City Church of the Brethren, and the V.F.W. and Moose Lodge, both in Goshen.

Friends may call Thursday, Feb. 8 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 1 p.m. Friday funeral service will be conducted.

Burial will follow in West Goshen Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the church.
