Joan Eleanor Acker

Joan Eleanor Acker, 88, of Goshen, died Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Courtyard Healthcare.

She was born June 13, 1932 in Lansing, Michigan, to Rolland and Stephanie (Snauko) Siebert.

On October 26, 1957 she married Donald Acker, Jr. in Lansing.  He died May 30, 2011.

Survivors include three sons, David (Adonna) Acker of Elkhart, Michael Acker of Syracuse and Patrick Acker of Shipshewana; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A homemaker, Mrs. Acker enjoyed flower gardens, dogs, pastel painting and Michigan State University and Indiana University football and basketball.

Visitation will be Friday, January 8, 2021, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Elkhart County Humane Society or Riley Children’s Hospital.
