Jo Ann S. Robinson

Jo Ann S. Robinson, 85, of Syracuse, died at IU Health Goshen Hospital on Thursday morning, Thursday, June 9, 2011. She had been ill since October 2010. She was born in Fort Wayne on April 11, 1926 to the late William and Glennys (Byerly) Schwartz. She was married to David Robinson for 49 years. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Lynn Robinson of Syracuse, and Marjorie Crosse of Yreka, California; two sons, William (Stacy) Robinson of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, and Daniel (Carolyn) Robinson of Zionsville; and four grandchildren, David Crosse, Laura, Sarah and Daniel Robinson. A homemaker, Mrs. Robinson, graduated in 1943 from Fort Wayne South Side High School and went on to earn a Master's Degree from Indiana University. She was a member of St. Andrew's Methodist Church and was very active in the community for many years. Cremation will take place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Women's Retreat Health Center for the Heartstrings Sisters Fund. Yoder- Culp Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
