James L. “Jim” Kramer, 62 of 901 S. Main St., Goshen, died at 5 pm, Sunday, February 22, at his home after an extended illness. He was born August 22, 1946 in Goshen, Indiana. He lived all of his life in the area and on October 28, 1979, he married Brenda Wilden, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Goshen. Jim attended Goshen High School and was in the Class of 1965. He worked many years in the R.V. Industry and had last worked for Jayco in Middlebury. He attended Grace Community Church, where he was active in the jail ministry. Jim had a love for fishing on Lake Wawasee, and his dream was to build his own houseboat, which he accomplished in 2003. He was a past member of the Goshen Jaycee’s, where he was the outstanding state director in 1981. Jim is survived by his wife Brenda, his two sons, Todd M. (Kimberly) Kramer, Elkhart and Eric C. (Sherry) Kramer, Middlebury; two daughters, Lori A. Neff, Elkhart and Heather N. (Josh) Staley, Elkhart; nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Robert “Bob” (Esther) Kramer, Syracuse and his sister, Maxine (Joe) Hooley, Florida. He was preceded by three brothers, Don, Stanley, and Norman Kramer. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, and one half hour prior to the 9:30 am funeral service at Grace Community Church. Officiating will be Pastor Jim Brown. Cremation will take place after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family of Jim Kramer to help with funeral expenses.
