Jillian "Jill" Hawn, 61, of Wakarusa, died Monday evening, January 30, 2012, at her home after a 10-year struggle with cancer. She was born March 10, 1950 in Wyddial, England. She married Wayne Hawn December 23, 1977 in Wakarusa where they have lived the last 30 years, coming from Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania. He survives, along with her mother, Barbara Lesta of Jacksonville, Florida; a daughter, Rebekah Joy (Robert) Athey of Wakarusa; three sons, Joshua Caleb (Amy) Hawn of Park Rapids, Minnesota, Jeremiah David Hawn of Wakarusa and Peter Samuel Hawn of Hoboken, New Jersey; four grandchildren; a sister, Erika Lesta of Key West, Florida; and a brother, Ken (Barnetta) Lesta of Sydney, Australia. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Lesta; and a twin sister, Jackie. A 30 year resident of Wakarusa, Mrs. Hawn worked at Bremen Community Hospital for many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She enjoyed her patients and was dedicated to providing them with the highest level of personal care. A member of First Baptist Church, Goshen, Jill was devoted to her children and grandchildren, filling their lives with love and affection, guidance and encouragement. An 11 a.m., Saturday, February 4, 2012 memorial service will be held First Baptist Church, Goshen, with Pastors Gregg Lanzen and Jim Shrock officiating. In accordance with Jill's wishes, her body has been donated to IU Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Jill's memory be made to Goshen Center for Cancer Care or Goshen Hospice.
