Jessie J. Boyer, 92, of Goshen, died Saturday evening, February 11, 2012, at Greencroft Healthcare. She was born May 27, 1919 in Kosciusko County, to the late Clyde and Dollie (Sroufe) McDonald. She married Paul Boyer June 5, 1937, in Milford. He died August 4, 1993. She is survived by a son, Paul (Linda) Boyer of Goshen, a granddaughter, Stephanie (Ron) Perry of Elkhart and two great-grandsons, C.J. and Mason. She was preceded in death by a son, Clyde Boyer and a grandson, Corey Boyer, both in 2003 and three brothers, Lee, Bill, and Jack McDonald. A lifetime Goshen resident, Jessie worked as a loom operator at Chase Bag Company for 33 years. She enjoyed refinishing antiques, vegetable gardening, and freshwater fishing in Canada for walleye and pike. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, February 13, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2012, funeral service will be held. Darrell Kauffman will officiate. Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery, Milford. Memorial contributions may be made to the Corey Boyer Endowment Fund Dollars for Scholars at Northridge High School.
