Jerry F. Vannoster

September 24, 1942 — March 12, 2015

Jerry F. Vannoster, 72, of New Paris, died at his home Thursday morning, March 12, 2015. He was born September 24, 1942 in Goshen to James H. and Beatrice (Stoner) Vannoster. On June 5, 1970 he married Marcella Walley. She preceded him in death September 7, 1987. He later married Juanita Sharkey December 10, 2004. She survives along with his children, James (Portia "LeAnn") Vannoster, of Paris, Texas, Regina (Craig) Showalter, of Goshen, Angela Flora and Jeff Pires, both of New Paris; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Bruce (June) Vannoster, of Goshen; and a sister, June (Bill) Neff, of New Paris. Mr. Vannoster was a New Paris High School graduate and member of People's Bible Church, Benton. Jerry worked as an engineer for Mogul and Western Rubber for 35 years before retiring from Terra Transit, New Paris. Visitation will be two hours prior to the 6 pm memorial service Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor John Randolph will officiate. A private burial of cremated remains will be at Violett Cemetery, Goshen. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to I.U. Health Goshen Center for Cancer Care.
