Jerry Lee Taylor, 77, of New Paris, passed away at 5:40 a.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at his home of natural causes.

He was born December 7, 1948, in Peru, Indiana, to Charles Henry and Chloe Bell (Randolph) Taylor.

Jerry married Fanny Mae Miller on May 2, 1970, in Goshen, Indiana. She preceded him in death on September 9, 2017.

He is survived by his children, Sheri L. Taylor (Kim Walker) and, Rodney (Irene) Miller both of Goshen; six grandchildren Neki, John, Mary, Kevin, Shelby and Brooklynn; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Beverly Evans of Sierra Vista, Arizona, and Betty Carroll of Ozark, Arkansas; and three brothers, Roger (Gloria) Taylor, Carl (Vicky) Taylor and Bill (Rolene)Taylor all of Goshen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Ellen Badgerow, as well as Raymond, James, and Ancil “Bud” Taylor.

Jerry worked in maintenance at Goshen Rubber for 33 years. He enjoyed creating model cars and playing dice. He treasured being a homebody and spending precious time with his dearly loved family. He also adored his cats, Abby, Oreo, and Pumpkin.

Friends may call at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen on Sunday March 8, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and again on Monday March 9, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 1:00 p.m. when the funeral service begins, Carolyn Kern will officiate.

Burial with a graveside service will be held at Violett Cemetery following the service.
