Jerry Mast

Jerry Mast, 84, of Goshen, died early Saturday morning, July 2, 2011. He had been ill since February. He was born in Arthur, Illinois, on November 28, 1926, to the late Eli and Lovina (Hershberger) Mast. He married Elizabeth Yoder April 2, 1953 in Ligonier. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Michael (Debbie) Mast of Grand Junction, Colorado; a daughter, Sandra (Joe) Marschke of Constantine, Michigan; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Fannie Yoder and Edna Bontrager; and three brothers, Eli, John and Levi Mast. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Mast; two sisters, Lizzie Ann Miller and Lucy Gingerich; and two brothers, Andy and Melvin Mast. Mr. Mast was a member of First Mennonite Church, Middlebury; and retired after 40 years from Edd's Supply, Shipshewana. He enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with his family. Friends may call 1-5 p.m., Sunday, July 3, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 4, 2011, funeral service at First Mennonite Church, Middlebury. Pastor Linford Martin will officiate. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be the Middlebury Food Pantry.
