Jerry Lee Kidd, I, 49, of Goshen, died at home Saturday morning, February 4, 2012. He had been ill since 2006. He was born in Goshen March 1, 1962 to David H. Kidd and Betty Lou (Knight) Ringler, Goshen. He married Lisa (Oxford) Wood July 5, 2008 in Goshen. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Jerry Lee Kidd, II, at home, two daughters, Jerica Kidd, at home and Shannon Acosta, Goshen; three step-children, Kyle and Kaitlynn Wood, both of New Castle, and Kory Wood, at home; five grandchildren; a brother, Matthew (Michelle) Kidd, Millersburg; a sister, Rose (Scott) Sarbaugh, Goshen; and a step-sister, Teena Ringler, Goshen. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Kenny Kidd. A lifetime Goshen resident, Mr. Kidd worked in several RV factories. He enjoyed football and NASCAR. His favorite teams included Notre Dame, the Colts and the Cubs. He liked to fish, play chess and help those in need. He took special joy in watching his son play ball and in spending time with his friends and church family, especially his pastor, John Drexler. Friends may call from 12 p.m. until the 2 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012, funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor John Drexler, First Brethren Church, Goshen, will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made for Jerry's kids' college fund or to Yoder-Culp Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses.
