Jennifer "Jenny" Wengerd

Jennifer "Jenny" Lee Wengerd, 47, of Goshen, passed away Friday afternoon, September 11, 2015. She was born May 11, 1968 in South Korea. On Oct. 16, 1993 she married Doug Wengerd. He survives along with two sons, Benjamin and Isaiah, both at home; her parents, Paul and Caroll June (Hostetler) Roth of Killbuck, Ohio; and four siblings, Linda (Phil) Yoder of Killbuck, Ohio, Tim (Peggy) Roth of Millersburg, Ohio, John D. (Ruth) Roth of Goshen, and Stan (Susan) Roth of Archbold, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Roth. She graduated from Central Christian High School, Kidron, Ohio and Goshen College and was a member of Waterford Mennonite Church, Goshen. Jenny, a Title One instructor at Model Elementary School, focused on helping children learn to read. Interacting with children was the highlight of her teaching. Jenny used her creativity to create gifts for those around her. Friends may call Saturday, September 19, 2015, from 12 to 3 and 4 to 6 p.m. at Waterford Mennonite Church where a memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, 2015. Pastor Neil Amstutz will officiate. A memorial service will also be held at a later date in Millersburg, Ohio. Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jennifer Wengerd Benefit Memorial Fund at Interra Credit Union.
