Jeffrey Jay Wood

Jeffrey Jay Wood, 43, of Goshen, went to be with Jesus Friday evening, August 15, 2014 at I.U. Health of Indianapolis after having complications from pulmonary hypertension. He was born June 5, 1971 in South Haven, Michigan to Jay and Jane (Parsons) Wood. He grew up in Elkhart and graduated from Elkhart Baptist High School. He attended Cedarville College, IUSB and Ivy Tech. On April 23, 1994 in South Bend, he married Jennifer S. Johnson. They have a daughter, Evie. He is survived by Jen and Evie, Goshen; his parents, Jay and Jane of Goshen; a sister, Jeri (Kip) Kratche of Valley City, Ohio; and his nieces and nephews Alexis, Jordan, Drew and Trevor. He was preceded in death by seven precious unborn children and an unborn niece or nephew. He worked as a sales engineer at Amsafe Commercial Products of Elkhart. Jeff loved the Lord and his family. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed being outdoors, traveling, kayaking, riding motorcycle, hunting and spending time with his family. He was a Godly, wonderful husband, father and son. He will be greatly missed. Friends may call Tuesday, August 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2014, funeral service will be held. Pastor Dwight Gosser, New Life Christian Church, Bristol will officiate. Please come casually dressed as Jeff would have preferred. A private burial will take in Little Pine Cemetery, Goshen. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be sent to Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, 1911 South Main Street, Goshen, IN 46526 to help with funeral expenses.
