Janice A. Ernsberger

Janice A. Ernsberger, 81, of Goshen, died Monday evening, April 24, 2006, at Goshen General Hospital, after an extended illness.   She was born in Elkhart Township, on January 9, 1925, to Glen E. and Ruby G. (Rohrer) Swihart.  On August 19, 1949, in Goshen, she married Richard G. Ernsberger.  He survives.   A lifetime resident of the area, Mrs. Ernsberger, retired in 1986 after working at Chase Bag Factory, Goshen High School, Switches and U.S. Interiors.  She was a member of the Second Wind Club, South Bend.   She is survived by her husband, Richard; two sons, Rick K. (Linda) Ernsberger of Mishawaka and Terry L. Ernsberger of Goshen; two grandchildren; two sisters, Lucy Charlton of Goshen and Betty Lou (Robert) Cosby of Apache Junction, Arizona; and four brothers, Warren D. (Juanita) Swihart of Sterling Heights, Michigan, William B. Swihart of Elkhart, Stephen E. Swihart of Eugene, Oregon, and Jack T. Swihart of San Francisco, California.   Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 27, and a half hour prior to the service on Friday, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.   A 2:00 p.m. funeral service will be held on Friday, April 28, 2006 at the funeral home.   Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.   Memorials may be given to the American Lung Association.
