Janet Zimmerman

Janet F. Zimmerman, Goshen, 84, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020, at Woodland Manor Nursing and Rehab in Elkhart. She was born January 27, 1936 in Goshen, to Kenneth and Helen (Davidhizer) Kauffman. She married Harold R. Zimmerman in 1960, and he preceded her in death on January 3, 1986.

Surviving Janet is son Bruce (Kim) Zimmerman, Goshen; granddaughters Kaitlyn (Shawn) Dills and Rachel (Kyle) Wilson; 4 great-grandchildren; sister Doris Arlene (Allen) Reese, Plymouth; and brother Robert “Bob” (Mary) Kauffman, Goshen. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Nancy Moore, brother Wayne E. Kauffman, and great-grandson Mason A. Wilson.

She worked in central supply at Goshen Hospital, and also worked in housekeeping at Greencroft Healthcare. Janet lived in Goshen her entire life, and was a life-long fan of the Goshen Redskins.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 14, at 10 a.m., also at the funeral home. Pastor Jim Shrock will officiate. Burial will follow at West Goshen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Elkhart County Humane Society.
