Janet I. Thomas

Janet I. Thomas, 63, of Bristol, died early Friday morning, April 22, 2011, at her home. She had been ill since March 20. She was born in Goshen on January 26, 1948, to the late Ralph and Arlowene (Cripe) Warstler. She lived most of her live in this area except for 17 years in Fort Green Springs, Florida. She married George E. Thomas in Middlebury on June 4, 1971. He survives. Also surviving are two sons, Allen (Lois) Thomas of St. Joe, Michigan and Gene Thomas of Elkhart; a daughter, Stephanie (Randy) Dillon of Bristol; extended family, Phil (Deb) March of Nappanee; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Dennis (Becky) Warstler of Indianapolis, and Fred (Marge) Warstler of Middlebury. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Warstler. A member of First Baptist Church, Goshen, she graduated from Goshen High School in 1966. She worked for Homecrest for 15 years leaving in 2002. She enjoyed her family and traveling. A 6:00 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2011, Memorial and Celebration Service will be held  at First Baptist Church with Pastors Gregg Lanzen and Jim Shrock officiating. Private family burial will be at a later date in West Goshen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Goshen.
