Janet O. Hart

Janet O. Hart, 87, of La Porte, died Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Brickyard Healthcare Terrace Care Center.

She was born August 3, 1936 in Dayton, Ohio to James and Helen (Ratliff) Pierce.

She married Jack E. Hart on September 1954. He died on October of 2014.

Janet is survived by two sons, David (Edna) Hart, Goshen and Robert Hart; four grandchildren; one step-grandchild; a sister, Jackie Pierce-Davis and a brother, James Pierce both of Illinois.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Brenda Holston and Lori Hernandez; a granddaughter, and a brother, Texas Pierce.

She really enjoyed working with flowers and gardening and had an exceptional greenthumb.

Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is assisting the Hart family with cremation services.

A burial at Violett Cemetery will take place at a later date.
